Sacroiliac Joint Injections
Pain Management / Interventional Pain Management / Treatments / Sacroiliac Joint Injections

Sacroiliac Joint Injections

A sacroiliac joint injection is used to diagnose or treat lower back pain associated with sacroiliac joint dysfunction. The injection is performed under fluoroscopy for accuracy and it provides 80% relief immediately. With consecutive injections the pain level reduces. Upon successful administration of the injection, the procedure is repeated. The injection is administered either directly or intravenously for maximum impact. The steroid injection reduces the inflammation and swelling of tissue in and around the joint.
